Hello! I’m a philosopher, singer-songwriter and writer with a passion for movement—both in thought and on the trails. About fifteen years ago, I discovered my love for traveling through the Alps, whether by gravel bike or as a trailrunner.
Over the years, I’ve taught philosophy at various colleges, exploring ideas and perspectives with students from all walks of life. Now, visiting the Alps as often as I can, I’m excited to find new ways to share knowledge, stories, and experiences with others.
Current projects
I am currently working on three interconnected projects:
Levensadem (Life's Breath) — an autobiographical book in three parts about running/cycling, meditation, addiction, and finding breath in the mountains.
Geestesadem (The Breathing Mind: the self in digital times) — a philosophical essay on resonance, (self)-consciousness, and the influence of technology on it.
Breath(e) — a music album about connection, emptiness, and the space between inner and outer.
Where our journeys might intersect
1. Traveling
Co-Created journeys and projects
Invite me as fellow explorer (Alps and beyond)
Let me help you to organize your next trip
2. Words
Language as a shared compass—for stories, questions, and more stories
Dive into my essays, books (fiction/non-fiction), and theatre
Invite me as a guest speaker
3. Music
When words alone no longer suffice
enjoy my songs
Invite me for an intimate live performance
A path only becomes true when traveled
in sweat, in ink, in the silence between notes -
in all hesitations that harden into resolve.
And when you arrive,
not at an end, but where all paths converge
- a deeper beginning -
there der Alpenkönig stands:
not some distant guide,
but the echo of your own voice,
finally clear -
your own uncompromising truth,
reaching back to meet you.
